100% finished, charged & ready to fly!

The maiden has been postponed to Saturday the 6th of April to allow both Pete 'n Pokes to be present for photos!

Expect to see outdoor shots next week!

Wasn't there supposed to be three PnP's making their debut?............

Wednesday 20 March 2013

Are we there yet?

Another night where things just took longer than I had planned, but maybe one more night will see the Pete 'n Poke ready to go!

The wings are now finished, just leaving the electronics, final adjustments & balancing.

Here's the latest photos:

I'm out tonight so no more until Thursday....

So close....

Well, I thought I would finish the build last night but my ambition didn't quite match reality!

Still, I finished the white covering on the wing, just leaving the blue trims & hingeing of the ailerons to complete......

Maybe tonight I'll get to final hook-ups & setting throws.

Here's some quick snaps from this morning.

More photos tomorrow.

Sunday 17 March 2013

The finish line is in sight!

Lots of progress today!

The fuse is finished including the tail feathers, landing gear, engine & prop.

I started on the covering of the wing but ran out of Oracover again!

The maiden will be this weekend!

More to come tomorrow.

Quick update

Not much time tonight, but I got the wing mounts glued in with two toothpicks drilled through & glued per upright to make sure they can never pull out of the fuse under load which has been the undoing of more than one Pete 'n Poke over the years!

Just the sides to cover now followed by the blue trims. Next the wings!
